The first quarter of 2024 saw varied performance among top iOS fitness and weight loss apps in the United States. Insights from Sensor Tower reveal trends in downloads, revenue, and active users.

U.S. iOS Fitness & Weight Loss Apps Q1 2024 Performance Overview

In Q1 2024, the fitness and weight loss category for iOS apps in the United States demonstrated diverse user engagement and financial performance, according to data from Sensor Tower.

MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter experienced a revenue fluctuation, peaking at 2.7M in late January before settling to 1.7M by the end of March. Downloads showed a downward trend from 155K in the first week of January to 83K in the last week of March. Weekly active users started strong at 3.1M but dipped to 2.8M towards the quarter's end.

onX Hunt: GPS Hunting Maps saw its revenue decline from 1.2M at the start of January to just under 1M by the end of March. Downloads followed a similar trajectory, decreasing from around 29K to just above 11K during the same period. Active users also dropped from 105K to 73K.

Peloton: Fitness & Workouts witnessed a revenue dip in the first quarter, from 1.1M to 729K. Downloads saw a sharp fall from 78K to 22K. Active users, however, remained relatively stable, hovering around 340K throughout the quarter.

For WeightWatchers Program, revenue saw peaks and troughs with a high of 736K in mid-January. Downloads were on a downward slope, starting at 35K and ending at 12K. Weekly active users showed a gradual decrease from 126K to 94K.

Lastly, Lose It! – Calorie Counter experienced a mixed revenue pattern, peaking at 632K in early March. Downloads began at 51K and showed a slight decline to 37K by the quarter's end. Active users decreased from 1.2M to just under 1M.
